CONSULAR SERVICES

Citizens of countries neither on the VoA nor Visa-Free lists are required to apply for a visa overseas before travelling to Indonesia. Nationals of ALL countries planning to stay for more than 30 days in Indonesia also have to apply for the appropriate visa (tourist, business, social-cultural, etc.) at an overseas Indonesian Consulate or Foreign Mission before departing for Indonesia.

South African Citizens with valid passport for 6 (six) months from the date of entry can obtain visa on arrival in Indonesian ports of entry or other kinds of visa through the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Pretoria or Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town.

Starting from 20 March 2009, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia introduced a new tariff for the visa application and other consular service fees.

All fees are to be paid through the bank with the proof of deposit slip.
