WHAT is SRIWIJAYAEXPO 2010

Promotional activities aimed at inviting foreign investment in potential sectors such as Agro-industry, mining, oil and gas, coal and geothermal, as well as potential sectors other contained in South Sumatra.

An activity that can further strengthen the position of South Sumatra province as a center of economic growth in the southern part of Sumatra region, which orderliness and conducive to regional and national stability.

Multi-product introductions and trade - the products produced by SMEs and Partners Binaan state-run companies and national enterprises, to the whole community.

Event is appropriate for business transactions and direct promotion to the international business world, especially potential investors and potential buyers are coming from friendly countries and other relevant International Organizations. The Governor of Maluku, KA Ralahalu has officially announced that the main event of Sail Banda 2010 will be held on August 3, 2010 in Ambon City, Ambon, Indonesia.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono also will be declared as the granary of Moluccas Province of national fisheries and tourist destinations.

Sail Banda 2010, will be filled with 7 national and international conferences including the Conference Co-operation Indonesia - Australia in the Field of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the International Coral Reef Conference and Small Islands, the Seventh National Conference of Managing District Coasts and Small Islands, Sago International Seminar, International Symposium of Science and Maritime and Fisheries Technology and Exploration Technology International Seminar on the Sea Bottom.

1. AUTHORITY

The Regatta is a Indonesia Sailing event, organized by Indonesia Sailing Federation together with the Sail Banda Organizing Committee, Provincial Administration of Maluku, Ministry of Marine and Fishery Affair, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Republic of Indonesia and Navy Force of Indonesia

2. RULES

The Regatta will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (2009-2012), the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea, the IRC 2010 Rule, this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions.

3. INVITATIONS TO PARTICIPATE, DIVISIONS

Invitations to participate in the Regatta are extended to self-righting mono and multi hull keelboats. Participating Yachts will be divided into the following divisions:

a. Racing Division

b. Cruising Division

c. Multihull Division

4. MEASUREMENT

An IRC measurer will be available at Darwin to measure yachts and sails. The IRC measurer may, at his sole discretion, require any yacht to be inspected and/or measured for purposes of checking or issuing an IRC certificate for such yacht, and costs associated therewith, if any, shall be borne by the yacht’s skipper/owner.

6. SCORING

The low point scoring system, provided in Appendix A of ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing, will apply. Two races are scheduled. All races shall count towards a yacht’s total score.

7. ADVERTISING

The Regatta is designated as a Category C event in accordance with ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing Appendix 1. Invitations to participate are restricted to boats whose advertising does not conflict with that of the Regatta sponsors. Each yacht wishing to display advertising on its hull and/or sails shall notify the Organizing Authority in her entry form giving the details of advertisement to be carried. The Organizing Authority reserves the right to determine when a conflict may exist. All yachts may be required to display the Regatta sponsors’ advertising on their boats.

8. ENTRIES

Application for entry must be made on the official entry form, which is available from the Regatta Secretariat or from the official Sail Banda and Sail Indonesia web site. All entries must be received by the Regatta Secretariat no later than 1700hr on 11th June 2010.

10. PRIZES

3 Prizes will be awarded to the first placed yacht in each race in addition to prizes for the 1st three overall placing in the regatta.

11. SAFETY

The Regatta will be conducted under ORC Category 5. The Race Committee reserves the right to inspect any participating yachts at any time during the regatta to ensure compliance with ORC Category 5.

12. PROTEST COMMITTEE

A Protest Committee will be appointed.

13. CIQP

All participating yachts must submit complete outbound immigration and port clearance documentation to Sail Indonesia.
